Latina Surge National presents to you our first educational module of Series Two which focuses on becoming a Published Author. We talk with published author Krista Nerestant of “Indestructible: The Hidden Gifts of Trauma.”
We recorded this interview at the start of the pandemic, however in the spirit of Women’s History Month and Breaking Biases on International Women’s Day, we feel this conversation is particularly relevant reflecting self-empowerment towards wealth generation.
Almost 60% of women regularly experience microagressions at work. And women of color, LGBTQ+ women, and women with disabilities face more acute biases. For BIPOC women and Latinas, we know that these experiences lead to important decisions; including to branch off exploring entrepreneurship.
We highlight resilience, as exemplified by Krista, and applaud her courage in taking the first initial step demonstrating her innate executive function that she so naturally followed.
